This winter, beautiful weather has greeted us many days here in the Richmond area. Warm, sunny days seeming more like spring have seen energetic people of all ages on the tennis courts, the paths through wooded parks, and the walkways of outdoor malls.
Have these days also found you out in the community meeting and greeting people -- sharing God's love with them? How have you changed someone's day?
The love of Jesus for the world extends to peoples of all faiths and even of no faith, and maybe you can share that love through a smile and a greeting to someone who appears different from you, a gift of cookies or flowers to a new neighbor, or some loving action of faith that shows others about your relationship with and commitment to God.
In other words, share "the light." When God created the world, he created light. When He sent Jesus, He also sent "the light," the Light of the world. And He fills Christian hearts with "the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ" (2 Cor. 4:6). Now, that's good news and makes for a good day . . . despite circumstances, sun or rain, warmth or cold.
What are you waiting for?
Also, how about sharing with us something someone has done for you recently.
